To make the right decision, when it comes to choosing a suitable raw material for the development of a custom designed enclosure, front panel, cover or housing for an electronic device, ask yourself the right questions

• Is the operational environment of my device inside a building our outside under surveillance?
• Does my device need to comply to a norm (I.e. UL, IP, RoHs, Reach, ISO).
• Is an aesthetic finish important for my end customer.
• Does the device have to be manipulated and transported easily.

For most of the projects, using plastic instead of metal, has the following advantages

• Lighter – easy to manipulate and transport.
• More possibilities for embellishment, but more fragile.
• LTP is certified ISO 900.
• Possibility to choose UL94-V0 listed raw materia.
• Possibility of conductive coatings (Uniform or selective).

ABS raw material (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene)

• A copolymer thermoplastic ;
• Excellent mechanical features ;
• High shock resistance ;

• In the product range you can choose between 3mm and 4mm thickness and the raw material colour black and white.

PS – UL raw material (Polystyrene)

• A thermoplastic polymer ;
• Good shock resistance ;
• Excellent electrical isolation ;
• Good dimensional stability, no internal technical restriction ;

• In the product range you can choose between 3mm and 4mm thickness and the raw material colours black and white (RAL9002).
• The yellow card is available from our suppliers upon request.
